I received my frame in line with agreed dates. It was well packaged and everything was present.
I got a black gloss frame which I decided to paint so the pic is of a non-standard paint job but the paint it comes with looks smooth and seems tough and durable (small knocks with tools during the build didn't scratch it).
The build was without problems - the easiest 'direct from China' build I've had so far and at least as good as any more well known brands.
Fitting all the cables as a fully integrated/hidden cable build was a pain but that's normal for any bike with this design and again, the same as branded bikes I've built.
Once built up, it looks fantastic so I was looking forward to my first ride.
The only issue I had was that I had greased all the seatpost/saddle fixing parts and that seemed to slip quite easily unless done up very tight. I stripped and cleaned the seatpost and used carbon assembly compound (designed to stop slipping) and it's been rock solid since. Kind of my fault really.
In terms of ride, I've built it up with Ultegra, aluminium wheels with 32mm GP5000s and straight away I was taken by how smooth it felt - I did think it might be a bit harsh given the chunky looking design and tubes but it was at least as smooth as the other bikes I have, maybe even more.
It handles perfectly - no issues climbing, descending and it's nice and quiet and smooth.
I'm very happy - looking forward to many miles on it.
Today I rode the 1st time my self assemblied BXT-PRO-145 and it felt amazing. Everything worked out correct. As I'm already 66 years old, I went with a GRX groupset as this will give me more freedom with easier gears when riding uphills in the Swiss mountains. I bought a set of carbon endurance wheels from Aerycs. And alltogether it rides perfectly and absorbs bumps on the roads much better then my older carbon bike. So I can just recommand this frame set to 100%.
I have ordered the color customized frame set BXT-PRO-145 to try to build my first bicycle. Jun from the sales department was just great. Via the chat we had a rich conversation till everything was cleared. He even tried to find a solution for exchanging the handlebar to the BXT-HB-004. I already paid for this handlebar but unfortunately the spacers didn't work. Jun paid back the additional costs for the BXT-HB-004 immediately. The frame set was finally delivered within 7 days to Switzerland in a prefect condition. The delivered frame set looks amazing. Perfect work done by BXT. When I have assembled my bike I will write an other review. THX Jun for your engagement.
